Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20
We enjoyed visiting with friends this evening. Eating brisket that was on the smoker for 18 hours and rested for 3 more hours. Chatting about food and friends. Enjoying good conversation as well. At one point we discussed how Christians should respond to AI and Nano-bots that are used for medical purposes. I responded that no one dies early, everyone dies right on time. This segwayed to discussing our health and diets and more, which everyone was free to share and did. The best part is that we all agree that God is in control of all that takes place.
I shared that although I am thankful for the healthy results of my being on the carnivore diet, I am more thankful because two of our sons have started to be mindful of their health as well. Even though God is sovereign over ALL His creation, and our days are numbered by His divine purposes and will, I can’t help but think that these two verses from 1 Corinthians tell me that I have a responsibility to treat my body well and make sure I am doing it for God’s glory.
