“Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.”
John 15:13 ESV
Today is supposed to be a somber yet thankful day. A day we set aside to remember all the American Military Persons who gave the ultimate sacrifice.
It’s also a day we join together as families or with friends to enjoy a meal and good company. Today was such a day for us. Two of our sons along with their wives and children came over and shared dinner and conversation. Then one of our daughters in law did a sweet thing and made poppies with the children and one of our grandsons read the poem “In Flanders Field” to everyone. It was a good day and a good time to remember those we’ve lost to wars and rumors of war.
